Getting Around Scottsdale

Downtown Scottsdale is broken up into nine shopping and entertainment districts. These districts are bounded by the 101 freeway, Osborn Road, Ninth Street, Indian School Road and Alvarado Road. Once you understand this, it's easy to use Scottsdale's public transportation system to get around the area.

Visitors can travel on Scottsdale's buses to get around Scottsdale's shopping districts.

Visitors who want to visit the area's shopping districts can use routes 41, 50, and 81 to travel around Indian School Road, and Osborn Road. These busses usually run every 15-30 minutes from 5 AM-9 PM during the week and every 30 minutes on weekends from 5:30 AM-8:00 PM.

Major bus stops include the Scottsdale Historical Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Scottsdale Stadium, and the public library. Passengers can easily walk from these venues to gain access to the area's attractions because they are only 3-4 blocks apart from each other each way.

Visitors who want to hang out at downtown area restaurants or clubs can use the downtown trolley car system to save time.
Scottsdale's trolley car service provides travelers easy access to area clubs and restaurants that are located near the 101 freeway, Ninth Street, and Camelback Road. Trolleys run every day except on Thursdays from 11 AM- 6 PM. On Thursdays, trolleys run from 11 AM- 9 PM.

Trolleys make stops approximately every two blocks along the way. Major stops include the Scottsdale Convention and Tourism Bureau and the Lolama Transit Center. These places are near downtown Scottsdale's entertainment and dining districts. As a result, it's easy to find a great place to have fun in downtown Scottsdale.

Finally, visitors who need more information about Scottsdale's downtown transportation system can visit the Loloma Transit Station.
It's located on 1st Street and Marshall Way. It features information about routes, fares, and schedules. There are also several customer service representatives who can help visitors plan their trips around the area.
